Chris' Hosta

Christina Brinkmann from Gütersloh, Germany, is a breeder who has been cultivating hostas since around 2013. Her primary focus is on tetraploid hostas, which hold a special place in her heart. However, in addition to tetraploid varieties, she also has a strong passion for streaked hostas and long-leaved hostas. Her breeding goals for the future include creating streaked plants with red stems, hostas of various sizes and colors featuring long leaves, and, above all, advancing the breeding of polyploid hostas. She names her cultivars with the prefix "Chris's", then the tetraploid cultivar with prefic "German". To date, she has named a large number of cultivars, which are spread among collectors in Europe as rare collectors plants.
