Hosta Gypsy Lemon

Hosta 'Gypsy Lemon' is an eye-catching hosta cultivar that adds vibrant color to any shade garden. Bred by Przemysław Godlewski and introduced to the market in 2021, this perennial plant showcases an incredible mix of light green to ochre-yellow leaves surrounded by a dark green border with a distinct white stripe in between. The dynamic leaf coloration changes throughout the growing season, adding a unique visual effect. In July and August, hosta 'Gypsy Lemon' produces pale lavender, bell-shaped flowers on tall stems, providing an extra dimension of beauty.

Growing up to 40 cm in width and 35 cm in height, this hosta thrives in semi-shady and shady positions, preferring fertile, humus-rich, and moderately moist soils. How to grow hostas

Hostas grow slowly and may take 2 to 5 years to reach their full size, longer for the largest species and cultivars. Reserve a plenty of space in your perennial bed for hostas. Most of them are medium sized or large perennials. Hostas are almost fully disease and pest resistant. The most dangerous injury can by caused by slugs, snails and deers.
