Hemerocallis Bloomfinity™ 'Blushing Bluebell' is a stunning daylily that demands attention in your garden with its exquisite creamy pink flowers, beautifully accented by enchanting violet-blue edges. This exceptional variety blooms continuously from early summer to the first frost, ensuring a vibrant display that enhances your garden throughout the growing season. With a compact height of around 45 cm and a spread of 45-60 cm, Hemerocallis 'Blushing Bluebell' is perfect for both garden beds and container plantings, adding color and texture to any outdoor setting.
Each flower measures approximately 10 cm in diameter and features delightful wavy edges, enhancing their charm and creating a welcoming atmosphere in your landscape. Its medium growth rate allows for easy establishment, while the dormant, grass-like foliage provides an attractive backdrop for the blooms. This resilient daylily thrives in a variety of soil types, including acidic, clay, loamy, and sandy soils, making it a versatile choice for any garden environment.
For optimal growth, ensure the soil is well-drained and space your plants 45 to 60 cm apart. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering to keep your Hemerocallis 'Blushing Bluebell' healthy and flourishing. Remember to deadhead spent flowers to maintain a tidy appearance and encourage further blooms.
How to grow daylilies
Reserve full sunlight or light shade area in your garden to plant daylilies. Daylilies like sunshine so much but be careful, in hot areas, they do not grow well in completely dry soil on sunny place. Daylilies also like an average amount of moisture in the soil but will not be happy in soils that are water logged. Give them water regularly during their first one or two growing seasons. Their flowers will be larger and will bloom richer if regularly watered in the first part of the season.
When in bloom, feel free to cut the flowers for bouquets or even decorating of salads (as the flowers are edible). This will not injure your plants. While each flower blooms only a single day, choose stems with several larger buds.
After blooming has finished, leave the foliage in place, don't cut it off. The leaves will gather sunlight and will provide nourishment for the next year's show. Your daylilies will need rest for a few months, before beginning the next growing season.
