Although we are not focused on hosta breeding and it is not our main activity, we already have registered 6 of our own cultivars (AHS). Moreover, we plan to continue registering new hosta cultivars… For practical reasons, we give them English names that begin with the prefix Buffalo - which is the English translation of our surname. Several cultivars from our breeding program grew well in 2020, and we enjoyed them very much. We are continuously evaluating their growth properties and try to take some nice pictures of them. We have already named some new cultivars, while others still only have numbers. Among them there are several promising plants, which may attract the attention of collectors in the future. Importantly, there are also plants for ordinary gardeners, as some new plants are vigorous growers in addition to being real beauties. We hope that both collectors and also ordinary gardeners will soon have a chance to enjoy more of our own hosta cultivars.
